Virginia Leen attended the University of Washington and graduated in from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California in 1987, with a B.A. in Art History. She graduated from Loyola Law School in 1996. She has practiced family law for over 15 years, and is currently licensed in Washington and California.

Ms. Leen is a member of the Washington State Bar Association Family Law Section, King County Bar Association, the International Association of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and King County Collaborative Law. She is trained in mediation and collaborative law, and has served as a volunteer judge for Seattle University's Alternative Dispute Resolution Center competitions.
